If opening-night ratings are any indication, Bionic Woman is one of the best, strongest, and fastest success stories of the new TV season.

The show built upon its Deal Or No Deal lead-in and posted very similar results to its closest competitor, the highly-anticipated Grey’s Anatomy spin-off Private Practice.

Let’s see if the momentum keeps for Week Two; if the show continues to do so well, Wednesdays may be Bionic for a while!

TV Guide Cover - October 2007

Bionic Woman has made the cover of the next edition of TV Guide. The issue itself hits newsstands on Thursday, October 4.

The arrival of Bionic to the cover so quickly is a testament to the show’s quick success. Congratulations to everyone involved!

The wait is almost over… Bionic Woman premieres at 9PM (ET) TONIGHT on NBC.

Jason Katims, whose previous credits include Friday Night Lights and Roswell, has joined Bionic Woman as a creative consultant. He’ll be replacing the recently-departed Glen Morgan.

The show’s creators have denied that production will be taking a break in light of these personnel changes, and if they do break, it’s not something that is unusual for a series.

NBC is now offering the pilot episode of Bionic Woman on Amazon.com’s Unbox service for FREE! This legal download will be the final air copy of the pilot that is going to be airing on the network on Sept. 26.

Some unfortunate news… Variety and other trades are reporting that producer Glen Morgan has exited Bionic Woman. It is said he wanted to “pursue other endeavors.”

Many fans were excited to see that the X-Files and Millennium vet was taking on Jaime and company.

The show is still scheduled to continue as planned, and David Eick and Jason Smilovic remain as executive producers.

Wednesday at 9PM on NBC isn’t the only place you’ll find Bionic Woman this Fall.

Episodes of the show will be re-aired on Fridays at 7PM (ET) on the SciFi Channel starting on September 28. In addition, you can find the pilot episode repeating on the USA Network on Saturday, October 6 at 6PM, and on Bravo on Sunday, October 7 at 4PM.

Finally, it has been announced that Bionic Woman will be one of the series made available on Amazon.com’s Unbox service. We’ll have a more permanent link up for Bionic as it becomes available; as of this writing, other NBC shows are up but Bionic is not.

BionicWebsite has learned that the title of episode #1.6 of Bionic Woman is “The Journey.”
